Class B with key number 78
- We recommend class B with key number 78 (B78)
- Practical training very fast, easy and cheap
- With class B78 you are allowed to drive cars only with automatic transmission and electric cars
- Start of training minimum age 17.5 years
- Start of training minimum age 16.5 years with accompanied driving at 17 (BF17)
- Driving lessons on a car with automatic transmission
- Practical examination on a car with automatic transmission
- Driving at home and abroad possible
- Option for later classes BE, C, D only with automatic transmission
Class B with key number 197
- If you would like to have the option of driving cars with a manual gearbox, you must take the class B with key number 197 (B197).
- Practical training longer and more expensive than for class B78
- With class B197, you can drive cars with manual or automatic transmissions and electric cars
- Start of training minimum age 17.5 years
- Start of training minimum age 16.5 years with accompanied driving at 17 (BF17)
- Driving lessons on a car with automatic transmission
- In addition 5 driving appointments of 90 minutes each on a car with a manual gearbox to gain driving competence for manual transmissions
- 1 test drive of 30 minutes each on a car with manual transmission to determine driving competence for manual transmissions
- Practical examination on a car with automatic transmission
- Driving at home and abroad possible
- Option for later classes BE, C, D only with automatic transmission
Class B
- We only recommend class B if you want to do class BE afterwards AND your towing vehicle will be a manual car.
- Practical training is significantly longer, more demanding and more expensive than for class B78 or B197
- With class B, you can drive cars with manual or automatic transmission and electric cars
- Minimum age of 17.5 years at the start of training
- Start of training minimum age 16.5 years with accompanied driving at 17 (BF17)
