Driving appointment request / cancel

Requirements

  • FAHREN LERNEN app
     
  • You need credit on your driving school account.
     
  • This credit must be sufficient for driving appointments that have already been confirmed and your newly requested driving appointments.
     
  • The higher your credit balance, the more requested driving appointments can be confirmed for you.
     
  • On request or at the end of your training, any existing credit will of course be transferred back to you immediately.
     
  • To increase your credit balance, transfer an amount of your choice to your driving school. This can also be done as a real-time transfer. Incoming payments are checked several times a day.
     
  • Your current balance: FAHREN LERNEN app -> More -> Document folder -> Finances
     
  • As your FAHREN LERNEN app does not know whether you will be doing a practice drive or special drive on your next driving appointment, a flat rate of €200 is charged for a driving appointment.
     
  • If you are transferring a foreign driving licence, a flat rate of €170 will be charged for a driving appointment.
     
  • You can see a detailed invoice on your service overviews.
     
  • The push notification in your FAHREN LERNEN app must be activated under Authorisation. 
     
  • The contents of your app must be updated by pulling the screen down under To-do (pull-to-refresh).
     
  • If you have not yet reached the minimum age for your driving licence, please note when requesting a driving appointment that the practical test may be taken at the earliest 1 month before reaching the minimum age.

Request a driving appointment

  • In your Learn to drive app under To-Do, you can request your driving appointments using the small blue icon in the bottom right-hand corner.
     
  • Select your driving instructor or simulator below.
     
  • Select a date and time.
     
  • Select the meeting point.
     
  • Do not click on ‘Add appointment to my calendar’, as your appointment has not yet been confirmed.
     
  • You cannot select whether it should be a practice drive, special drive or test drive when making your enquiry. Your driving instructor will decide what will be driven on your date, depending on your level of training.
     
  • You do not have to request the twilight drives separately. Your driving instructor will plan these with you.
     
  • Driving lessons on our drive easy simulator should take place before driving lessons in real road traffic. Please refer to the ‘Training programme’ drive easy Simulator.
     
  • You can only request driving lessons of 90 minutes each. A driving appointment consists of 2 driving lessons of 45 minutes each.
     
  • Please request the number of driving appointments recommended in your start info in your desired period at the start of your training.
     
  • Only your driving instructor can judge your level of ability. Ask him whether you should request additional driving appointments or cancel driving appointments that have already been confirmed.
     
  • You can request appointments up to 8 hours before the start of the journey.
     
  • You can request driving appointments up to 6 months in advance.
     
  • You can also request 2 driving appointments per day.
     
  • In the BASIC type of training, a maximum of 1 driving appointment per week is planned.
     
  • In the BALANCED training type, more than 1 driving appointment per week is planned.
     
  • More than 3 driving appointments per week are planned for the INTENSIVE training type.
     
  • If you request more driving appointments than are planned in your booked training type, you will be booked an upgrade to this training type. In the case of an upgrade, only the difference between the two basic amounts will be charged.
     
  • For driving appointments Mon - Fri 4.30 pm to 00.00 am and Sat we charge a surcharge according to the training contract.
     
  • If your app does not show any free dates, there are no free dates in this period.
     
  • Practical exam take place every Monday between 7.30 am and 4.30 pm. The time is allocated to us at short notice by the TÜV Süd test centre. We may therefore have to postpone or cancel your confirmed driving appointment on this day.

Driving appointment confirmed

  • Your requested driving appointment is automatically confirmed by your FAHREN LERNEN app if your driving school account has sufficient credit for driving appointments that have already been confirmed and your newly requested driving appointments.
     
  • You will receive a push notification for every confirmed request for a driving appointment.
     
  • Check your confirmed (booked) driving appointments: App FAHREN LERNEN -> To-Do -> Practice
     
  • Only driving appointments visible in your LEARN TO DRIVE app are confirmed.
     
  • If you enter a driving appointment in your private calendar, remember that if you cancel the appointment, you will also delete this appointment from your private calendar. The FAHREN LERNEN app does not automatically synchronise with private calendars.

Driving appointment rejected

  • Your requested driving appointment will be automatically rejected by your FAHREN LERNEN app if your driving school account does not have sufficient credit for driving appointments that have already been confirmed + your newly requested driving appointments.
     
  • You will receive a push notification for every rejected request for a driving appointment. You must not click on a push notification but drag it from top to bottom. Only then will you receive further information about which appointment has been declined.
     
  • After you have increased your credit and received a payment confirmation by email, please request your travel dates again.
     
  • Check your confirmed (booked) appointments: App FAHREN LERNEN -> To-Do -> Practice
     
  • Check your current credit balance: LEARN TO DRIVE app -> More -> Document folder -> Finances
     
  • In rare cases, your requested appointment will be declined because the vehicle is already booked for this appointment. In this case, ask for an alternative date or time.

Driving appointment cancel

  • You can only cancel a driving appointment up to 48 hours in advance in your FAHREN LERNEN app.
     
  • If you do not cancel a confirmed driving appointment in time, this driving appointment will be booked as a missed lesson in accordance with the training contract.
     
  • A driving appointment cannot be cancelled by email, WhatsApp, text message or telephone.
     
  • A medical certificate (sick note) does not release you from the obligation to pay for the driving appointment that was not cancelled on time.
     
  • Only your driving instructor can judge your level of performance. Ask him whether you should request further driving appointments or cancel driving appointments that have already been confirmed.
