Driving licence application already submitted through a driving school outside Munich – main residence currently outside Munich
- You need to contact your current driving license authority (e.g., Kreisverwaltungsreferat, Landratsamt, town hall). There you must state that you want to continue your driving license training in Munich.
- You also need to provide a justification and suitable proof of why you want to complete your driving license training in Munich.
- The following reasons are generally accepted:
- Moving to Munich
- Workplace in Munich
- Vocational training in Munich
- School in Munich
- Secondary residence in Munich
- In some cases, the Landratsamt may also accept other reasons. You need to clarify this with your previous driving licence authority before starting your training at the driving school.
- You should only begin your driving license training once you have received approval from your driving license authority to take your driving license training and exam in Munich.
- Your previous driving licence authority usually requires the following information:
- The address and driving school number of your new driving school. You can find this information in the top right corner of your training contract, or here → What do you enter from us in the application?
- Responsible for conducting the driving tests in Munich: Prüfstelle TÜV Süd München (TÜV Süd Munich test centre)
- Your previous driving licence authority will then forward your application and test approval to the Munich driving licence authority and to the TÜV Süd Munich test centre.
