Theoretical lessons, driving lessons, special driving lessons and examinations that you have completed at your previous driving school will, of course, be credited by us within the statutory time limits.
Theoretical lessons and special driving lessons already completed are valid for 2 years.
A passed theory examination is valid for 1 year.
Your driving licence application (exam authorization) is valid for 1 year, regardless of the driving school.
Training certificate
If you have already completed theoretical lessons or special driving lessons, we require your certificate of training (Ausbildungsnachweis).
This certificate of training must be issued by your previous driving school.
The certificate of training must generally state the type of vehicle used (manual transmission or automatic transmission).
If the number of manual driving lessons (Class B197) is not indicated in the certificate of training, we require a confirmation from your previous driving school specifying the number and dates of the manual driving lessons completed so far.
Driving licence application already submitted via previous driving school
Current driving school is in Munich
You must have your application changed at the Munich District Administration Office.
You do not need to submit your 1st aid course, eye test and photo again, as this data was already recorded with your 1st application.
The driving school number and address required in the application can be found in the top right corner of our training contract.
Previous driving school and your current main residence are not in Munich
You must contact the previous driving licence authority (e.g. district administration department, district office or town hall). There you must state that you wish to continue your driving licence training in Munich.
You must also state our driving school number and the exam centre TÜV Süd München.
The driving school number can be found at the top right of the training contract at the address of the driving school.
Your previous driving licence authority will forward your driving licence application or issued exam order (exam permit) to the Munich District Administration Office.
Previous driving school is not in Munich, but your current main residence is in Munich
You must contact the previous driving licence authority (e.g. district administration department, district office, town hall). There you must state that you wish to continue your driving licence training in Munich.
The driving school number required in the application can be found at the top right of your training contract at the address of the driving school.
You must also specify the test centre TÜV Süd München.
Your previous driving licence authority will forward your driving licence application or issued exam order (exam permit) to the Munich District Administration Office.
You must note on the application that you have already applied for your driving licence at your previous driving licence authority.
You must also submit an application "Change current application" to the Munich District Administration Office.
